Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

My DH just told me he was going hunting on Saturday, it's the last day he can go and I said no problem I'll clean the stalls and take care of the horse's. Then my DD ask if I wanted to go see my GS wrestle and I could go with them because it's an away game. It's a good thing my DH is going hunting so I wouldn't be 60 miles away and remember I need to put eggs in the bator. I better hurry my bottom up and make sure I'm back home to get it done.

This thread is a runaway train!!! Its like theres two shifts, the east coast shift and west coast shift; I woke up to 5 more pages just from last night! I think there should be another contest for how long this thread gets, cause its gonna probably be the longest one in BYC history. How bout a contest to guess what the post number will be at 12:01 on New Years Day?

Great idea!!

My noon set time may be off - I have to pick up my eggs and don't think I will make it back by noon, so I may just put some of my own breeds in the bator (happy, happy, joy, joy) and then set my araucona eggs a little after twelve.

Here's hoping we all have pullets hatching!!!!!!

Time to get up and go to work... and off to check the link to the Atomic Clock...

I'll discuss the "guess how many posts in this thread at 12:00:01" with the five principles I've chosen to help me with this hatch...

Atomic Clock

Still works for me but I think you have to have java installed on your browser.
Perhaps a different browser would work?

On my computer it works with these browsers

ROCK MELT (the one I use all of the time)
Chrome and
Explorer

Wow....keeping up with this thread is crazzzyy. I go to bed and wake up and have missed 10 pages. LOL

Glad the name was changed back to Mahonri's.

Heading out to pick up 12 hatching Silkie eggs. Then will pick up 6 more Friday. Not sure what breeds they will be. Maybe BLRW and Barndavelder and will fill my incubator out with eggs from my flock that I have been collecting, mostly Seramas and a couple of Silkies.

I am loving this!

First of all, WOW is this thread ever moving fast! Its harder to keep up with than the Heritage thread when it opened! Secondly,

I really think it should be Mahonri's 2nd Annual......

This definitely still is "Mahonri's 2nd Annual", but I'm curious why it should be changed in the announcement?

I think Mahonri deserves the credit, he is doing an awsome job with an awesome thread, and without him, we couldn't all have panic attacks together. Besides, he is such a popular guy, its bound to draw more folks.......

I will be going to the Shawnee show too, so my friend feeding my chickens will put the eggs in the incubator for me. I don't know if they will make it in at noon, but it will be close enough. The contest isn't that important to me, but hey, if I win, all the better!

Hey Mahonri, I bet you never envisioned such a thread when you started this, did you?

I am still taking it down to the wire. My new incubator is "out for delivery" so that means it is at least in my town somewhere.

I am awaiting egg deliveries today too.

Everyone who is afraid of not being able to set at noon on the 11th should just go for it and set as close to the time that they can (even if it is an entire day off) We all know that the little fluffies really don't care about our schedules. Who knows, someone who sets a day late could have an early hatcher and have the New Year's Baby!
