AAAGGGGG! Can't get my pics to upload right now....but I have set 73 eggs at 12:05!!
Dropped one of the PRs and will have to try waxing it - that would make 74 total!
I will have:
12 BMarans
3 Bantam BB
8 Bantam Salmon Favs
2 EE
2 Marans
12 Marans mix (2 of these are questionable)
17 Partridge Rocks
4 of my own EE
14 of my own Bantam GL Cochin

YAY!!! Let the anxiety begin!!

Just popped some silkie eggs in to go with the ducks already in. Not too sure how these ones will go- I bought them from a fellow who was selling chicks- I got four silkie chicks for my daughter out of pity for them in their horrible cramped smelly conditions- I have not heard much about him or the fertility of the eggs he sells- but he had them all siting on a bench with dates written on them going back 2 weeks...I did ask for fresh ones- and got them from the 3rd, 5th , and 7th of Dec.

but it looks like he only collects eggs every second day.

I have waited the extra few hours to be in time with you guys. The benefits of being a few hours ahead- is that I now get to stick to me NYD plans without feeling the need to rush to look at the bator every 5 minutes!!!

Silkie eggs just set- a little after time- But I only just woke up. They are marked with an S- sorry i cut one out of the pic... And duck eggs - marked with D. They were set a week ago- but much later in the day- as it was afternoon before I remembered to set them...Any way Good Luck all..


Oh And I guess 73 Out of 82 eggs for Mahonris hatch

OK, here are pics of my eggs minutes before loading into the bator!

I guess that Mahonri will hatch 67 eggs, the first out will be Icelandic, then BLRW and Americauna.

If you've told me how many you are setting and you don't see it on Post#1, PM me please!

Also many who have told us how many eggs they've set, but haven't guessed on how many I'll hatch or the first three breeds of chicks out. Those who have guessed are really a bunch of optimists.
I'm praying I get 40!

Busy Saturday for most of us I suppose.

I'm coming down with something.. .can't breath very well or stop coughing....

IKWYM about a fussy thermostat! I confiscated DH's 2 Hovabators and one of those is like that. Drove me nuts trying to set it up!

I was also told NO MORE HATCHING! after the ones that were set for NYD.

IDK what he is thinking- it won't be long until spring! 2 bators have only been running since September. Just started the third one up the other day. It is not like they have not been turned off.

I do unplug them and clean them
