Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Its not the right thing to do , but confess that I've resorted to pulling that saftey ground prong out with a pair of pliars

It only takes 10 minutes to change the outlet

If you don't have an adaptor around , you probably don't have a spare outlet put away either . Many older homes , like the one I grew up in , are not wired with the third , safety ground , wire . Changeing only the outlets in such homes actually only gives the user a greater risk of injuryor fire if the unlikely event of a short occurs . Adaptors aren't much better because nobody ever hooks that green wire to ground but ................................

I've always replaced the ends eventually , but several of my power tools have either accidently or intentionally had the safety prong broken off , [ sometimes left in an outlet as you unplug ] and operated for the remainder of the day or job .

Good golly Miss Molly.

Please add my 46 eggs to the tally. I set 8 white plymoth rock, 8 cornish cross/white plymoth rock, and 30 mixed eggs from my layer group. This includes BO, RIR, and Domineque. Roosters are BO.

Awwww what a pity I only found this thread today. Would have been the perfect excuse to buy a 'bator and give hatching a whirl.

Today at Church a fellow asked me if I had any extra chickens. I told him I would on January 1st.

Maybe you should ask Santa for a bator . I thought I heard Mahonri whispering to Laree something about she should be getting ready for his 300 extras in the Easter Hatch .
