Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

So is everyone else as impatient as me today?? Three weeks didn't sound like a long time at all before the eggs were set.....now it seems like forever!!! I think I've checked the temp and humidity at least 50 times since I put the eggs in. And the bator 'appears' to be running perfectly, so I don't even have anything to fret over (which is a good thing!). So do you experienced hatchers get used to it and the time doesn't drag on so much? This is going to drive me nuts! LOL

Just think about how much you have to do before Christmas gets here. then you can be anxious about something else!!!

LOL - I know what you mean!!! I joined this forum about a week ago, and I've already put about 6-8 new breeds or colors of chickens on my wish list!

I'm usually done too, but this year I haven't even started yet. I'm strangely without anxiety...which is kind of scary..what happens when reality hits (like a sledgehammer no doubt)!

Hubby walked by the bator today and said "why does it look like there are more eggs in there? I thought you were just 'testing' those guinea eggs last week?"
I answered (with my best innocent face on) "I think it's an optical illusion"

That is Caleb out frizzle cuckoo Polish, who was supposed to be a roo and turned out to be a hen and has since been renamed Cabela! (I know, kinda the opposite of what most people hope for!)

That's gotta be a winner . I would never have guessed your avatar was an actual chicken .

She is very real and broke my daughters heart when "he" turned out to be a she! She is a very sweet, but spastic little thing!
