Oh MY GOODNESS!

Kathy, THOSE are what I call BARRED ROCKS! I had no idea they could be SO BEAUTIFUL.

And they look like sweethearts.

Come on now, you can do way better than Demon-al. Propoxyphene's off the market, Demon-al's next. (I hope)

I had to shovel my chicken run today so that at least wasted 2 hours of my after work me-time where I'm not sitting staring at my eggs and wondering if I should candle them.

Hello, all. I'm still waiting for my brinsea and nothing's really changed. I started renovation of a large dog crate that I'll be able to use as a brooder for th hatchlings, and then as an emergency coop. Where will you all be housing yours'?

A month or so ago, after I had purchased four of my seven Brinsea incubators, I got a very nice e-mail from a Brinsea marketing fellow "because have purchased quite a few incubators recently."

We had quite a nice e-mail exchange, plus, after he'd solicited my opinion/suggestions and found out I had a chick drown in one of the MiniAdvance water reservoirs, he said they now come (in the UK) with plastic guards to prevent that from happening. As soon as they became available in the US, he'd send me one, "FOC" - and he did. My next miniAdvance came with one, too.

He also suggested I set the "angle" to 15, for chicken eggs.

Not only does Brinsea have great incubators, but the customer service is grand AND the marketing guy was really personable, informative, and helpful.

Once we BYCers understood why the products were so good, it is not surprising there's been such a run on 'em!

I am about to have a whole bunch of me-time.. We are getting freezing rain and since we NEVER get much winter precipitation of any kind here, folks are having wrecks left and right.. Roads and major stretches of Interstate are being closed. So, while everybody else in town scrambles to get milk and loaf bread, I will get the windex ready. Because, I will need it to remove the nose prints from the bator window!! Is it day 21 yet??????
