Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I ran it once in Nov and kinda figured those things out . Also : Removing a bunch of clears at lockdown will make it more difficult to restabilize temps ; When the element kicks on , warm air vents out , drawing in cool air , and actually dropping the temps at center egg level for that part of the cycle ; The extreem outer edges and corners run way too cool . I have a fan to add , but waiting untill after this hatch to experiment with it .

WOW and my favorite pool was in Phoenix! LOL

Just a beautiful pool, I don't think i'll get that taken over by wanting a pool shaped like a chicken. I love my birds, but I told people not to buy me chicken stuff.

I'm glad you got lucky and found all of us as your friends.

For those of you worried about rain: at least you don't have to come home to shovel it!

Weather reporter has upped the ante here :

Friday Night
Cloudy. Light snow likely in the evening...then a chance of light snow after midnight. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Total snow accumulation 4 to 6 inches. Low in the lower 20s. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

Christmas Day
Cloudy. Scattered flurries. High in the mid 20s. North wind 10 to 15 mph.

Not too bad , but those familiar with the Prairie State know it doesn't take much wind to convert 3" of snow to 3' snow drifts .
