Ya know......I'm going to really miss this thread after the hatch day has come and gone! Can't we just keep on hatching and keep this thread going forever?

Well, there are already several reasons to go past "Hatch Day," y'know:
Rooster Crowing winner announced some time Sunday.
Die Hard Contest a few days later... (I'll have to research this to provide the date.)
And Jan 14 for the Best BYC page documenting this experience.

So we'll be back here A LOT, surely nattering in the duration.

This will be my first time ever having baby silkies hatch. I can't wait to see them. Or at least I hope I have some hatch..

And they will look like this! These hatched yesterday...

to the new folks.

SteveH, yes, the weather is funny. Supposed to be the coldest official temperature for Phoenix in about 4 years tonight. 29 degrees here now, and still 7 hours till the coldest part of the night/day.
The tarps really help keep the cold from blowing through the AZ room, and I spread a bale of bermuda hay for the chickens and ducks and they are loving it. Keeps them off the cold muddy ground.

Wow it is freezing cold here and the forecast is for rain tomorrow maybe ice cubes instead of breadcrumbs
