31 degree here already. Water was frozen in the hoses already about 2 hours ago.

Dipsy Doodle Doo, love the tagline. My sentiments eggsactly. I had 2 dogs rooting around in the yard today, fortunately my birds were all still cooped up so I didn't have to take any action. They were someones pets, both had collars, so probably got out in the rain and lightning storm last night. Don't know if the chickens would have been in danger, there are a few dogs around that have been in the yard but made no move towards the chickens, fortunately for the dog. I have zero tolerance for that anymore.

Well New Years Day is my birthday and the year I was born (not telling) I was the first baby born in my town for the year, so I'm excited to see the first chick born after midnight and trying to figure out a name for that first baby chick in the New Year. any suggestions?

Weather's a strange thing isn't it ? We're in a complete thaw here today , snow's all melted , and you're getting our normal weather .​
