Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Tala, I have updated the submission page with your rooster.

Basically, the contest runs this week, ending at midnight on January 1, 2011. On Sunday, the volunteer judges and I will select the one that wins the [gently used] R-Com Mini incubator and announce it. The page of entries thus far is linked in my signature.

Mary, I have a sweeter heater in the box, still. I can't quite decide WHERE to put it. Can it be set in a really small enclosure? I'm thinking my call ducklings may need the heat for a while, although they are fully fledged. It's just that they are still in their brooder in the bathroom, and there are two heat lamps on OTHER brooders near them, but not on theirs. But the bathroom is toasty because of it. I don't want to shock them with the temp changes.

So I was considering opening up that Sweeter Heater box..... and maybe using it in their little duck grow-out house.

Any words of wisdom? (About this subject. Oh, heck, about anything! LOL)

Every time someone posts that they have pipping or rocking eggs I go look in my incubator. I am now wishing I had a pedometer so I could track how many miles I walk going back and forth pasting my face to the bator. LOL
