Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I was reading and trying to catch up with this thread. So many people have pips and zipping and I have nothing.

I checked the incubator last night when I got home. NOTHING at all. No rocking, NOTHING. I went to bed thinking I must have done something wrong but my temps were steady as a rock even with these frigid temps. I woke up and still nothing. I told myself if I do not see or hear something soon I am freakin throwing all of the incubators OUT the window.

After my cup of tea, I moved the incubator to a better viewing position and I saw a pip.

It is one on Halo's eggs. They were not marked so it will be a surprise. I now hear chirping sounds coming from the incubator. I guess the threat of chucking the incubators worked.

No pips, no rocking, nothing. It was the same way with the last batch of Ameraucanas. Nothing happeneing one minute, half an hour later I went back to the bator and there was a chick. I had never even noticed a pip. So I am trying not to panic!

Off to run erronds in town today, so there will be no hovering over the bator until later today.

Nothing from my little eggies either. They aren't technically due til tomorrow evening, but Im hoping I'll here some peeping tonight. Does anyone else absolutely PANIC at the end and start second guessing your temps and humidity for the past 20 days and think that none will hatch?
