Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Everybody's bators running wide open with maxi-pads to up the humidity may have somehow shifted the weather tables and that's why we are all having weather outside of the normal realm???

That could definitely be from my EE pen. The roo is a blue Amearucana split to lavender, and there is a blue NN EE in there that lays a big green egg. Her father was my GORGEOUS HUGE splash Ameracuana from last year and her mother is my hatchery Turken. The Ameraucana cross seems to produce an extra large bird for some reason. Good meat. I thought forever that that NN EE pullet was a roo. HUGE from day one. There is hope, all the way until it crows or lays an egg! Happy New Year!!! WOOT!
PS PM me your rundown of how your hatch went. I don't have the energy to disect this entire thread! Help!

I have everything on here set the same as when I first signed up. I left yesterday and this thread was on 186 pages. Now it's on 228!

I came running in and ckicked the refresh button and nothing!!!!!!!!!

I called comcast and the tech was talking me through repairs and came back on and told me my connection was fine. However! There was a problem in my area and it's been 3 hours wait for them to fix it. I've been sitting here watching the lights flash on the box, trying to reset itself. I was stressin boy!

Anyway I thought I'd have maybe a chick or two or at least a pip. I have zip, zilch, nada! No peeps, no pips. One bator was down to 97 the other was at 101, but the humidity was 47. The other is holding at 60.

I need chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone with babies all ready. There's way to many posts to try to catch up right now though. Been really busy in here.

I'm so depressed. I want to have my eggs hatch so bad and as usual, I'm the failure. So what will I win?

I have only seen pips since this AM. Then NOTHING. I gave up and took a nap. I dreamt that the power went out. I guess it was on my mind. Scary. It was just a dream. The power is on and NEVER went out during this hatch. Got woken up by a phone call asking about how the hatch was going. Went to look and still nothing.

No more than 15 minutes after that call, I hear LOUD peeping and then I look and I see zipping on Halo's blue egg. This one did not pip all day. It just pipped and zipped at the same time. It came out and then the first Halo egg from this AM. It was a light brown egg, no clue but the chick is dark colored while the chick that came out of the blue egg is orange colored???? Both are healthy and LOUD. They are waking up their neighbors by walking around a tight incubator.

I am hopeful still for a NY's hatch.

They have 2 1/2 hours to do something.

I hope I was quick enough, that pump just started pumping water into it like crazy.

That NN is all YOLK inside, but still HUGE, thanks Patti for the explanation.. it's beautiful in an ugly way!!!!!

I don't think the one Icelandic will make it. If it looks the way it does now in the morning, I'm going to stop it's suffering...

Mahonri- that little blue egg of yours is mostly zipped, and its peeping spurned my 24-hour-pipper into action. They are both mostly zipped.
