Well you are most welcome Kathy...it has been such a pleasure chatting and sharing with you
I'm not sure if I'll make it to midnight your time...
but
for a chickie to hatch at the crack of midnight.
I'm fading fast and have to get up early to move 45+ 3 week olds
to the outside (with heat lamps at night) brooders. This is late for me, but we had temps
in the low 20's earlier this week. The chicks are in 4 rubbermaid tubs and are very
crowded. I have been dumping their shavings once a day...takes nearly an hour
to do all four and add to and clean waterers and feeders. I am so looking forward
to getting them outside and on the ground where they seem to thrive....and also
getting the smell and dust out of the house. My 8 week olds have been moved
to a grow out pen...no lights, but they are mostly feathered out and the lows
should not get below 40ish for the next week or so.
Happy New Year everyone!!
