yeah, I got it. The first one that hatched has pink toes. Itis kind of hard to see, but it is just the middle toe on each foot.

This doesn't look too bad right? This Icelandic egg was very cracked from the day it was set and had candle wax covering the entire small end. I moved him into the ECO with the other two and they don't seem to be pecking at it. They are enjoying the company. I'll take him back out if trouble erupts.

GEEEEZZZZZ Dial Up

I just got home from my week visiting family 250 miles away. I rolled in at 12:05AM Happy New Year Everyone !!!

Ran to the bedroom to check the bator (That's why I came home tonight !!!! Drove for 6 hours in the dense wet fog to get here. Normally only takes 4.5 hours !!!

Anyway I have 4 silkies that hatched.

Hubby checked the bator around 8pm and there were no chicks so sometime between 8pm and 12:05Am they hatched.

So I took pictures at 12:24am. I know those won't count cause I don't know when they hatched.

But anyway with dial up it is way to slow to go back and read all the posts to find out exactly what I need to do. Take a picture of the chicks with time and date on camera right? Then a picture of your computer time right???

I'm sure I missed the new Years first chick anyway but ??????

OH and by the way, how can you get to the end of a thread without cilicking on the last page shown on the thread. I haven't even gotten to the end, it takes to long with dial up.
I was spoiled during my visit without dial up !!!

Well, better go paste my nose to the bator, will be a long night, good thing I ate chocolate all the way home !!!! LOL

4 down, 25 tp go !!!

I'm worried... still have 15 in the brinsea. 4 are pipped but only one is large enough to see the beak and it hasn't moved in 6 hours... an icelandic.

Hope these are in focus....

It's got feathered shanks so it's either a cochin or a marans....??

I put it in the "recovery" hovabator right away... with the NN and a marans that's not doing well.

I think I'll loose the marans, the one Icelandic and an ameraucana that dried with yolk or goo all over it....
