Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Had my first hatch at 2:13am.. still have 38 to go. 12 are pipped and 1 more getting ready to zip;. no pics. sorry... dam camera phone.

I'm drinking my toddy now yummy I don't think you can tell what I'm taking pictures of I do have an egg zipped almost all the way 10 minutes to wait but I never tried to get that clock up....I don't think my picture would be better than Mahonri's

I have 7 out right now

We went to Marine World yesterday. Daughter #3 has wanted to be part of the Dolphin acts for oh gee. She just turned 31, so 31 years. Used to take her to Great America almost every weekend when she was younger. They had a dolphin show back then. We'd go to ever show of the day. Never got picked. She went to Jamaca with ex SIL, went scuba diving. No dolphins showed. None in the Bahamas, none in Hawaii. Noe at Sea World. She was turned around talking to my sister and one of my daughters and no one else heard them ask for an adult volunteer. She swung around with her hand waving and finally got picked.

Since she walked back up to us afterwards all we've heard is "I was in the Dolphin Show! Did you know I was in the DOLPHIN SHOW!!!!!"

She keeps send it out in text too.

Then my sister send a text today "Oriana was in the DOLPHIN SHOW!" I sent her a text back after we all got hers and she said it's all she has heard in her head all day.

Now it can be replaced by "Mahonri won the first chick hatched!"

I can deal with that.

Mahonri, if you are afraid of losing one with gunk dried on it.... i had a one like that each of the last couple of hatches, I ran them under a warm faucet and washed the stuff off and put them in the brooder, or back in the incubator and they were fine. Just a thought.

It would truly be a miracle... with 25 chicks already hatched, I didn't think I had a prayer.
I knew it was zipping but as you know the NN took FOR EVER and waited till AFTER 5500 had been passed.
After I had ascertained that Murano Farms was the best guess for Midnight at Mahonri's, off to the family room I go and there it was with it's head hanging out! Before I could get the camera it just crawled right out of the shell ! Beautiful little Halo egg shipped all the way from Florida!!

no trophy needed... I just pray Lucky is a pullet!! or should I name it "Midnight"???? and hope that the egg with "Lucky" on it hatches???
