I've got a lot of catching up to do , but it has to wait untill after I get back from my mother's BDay P . After a little bit of sleep , I woke up to the 4th chick coming out of the shell . There are still a few hopefuls left also . Pretty good considering ............................... .

I think the bator has steadied out enough that they will be alright for a few hours while I go to Mom's party [ I hope and pray the power stays on

] To the shower ; later my brothers and sisters .

Now, how cute is this? The little FBCMs snuggled up to the Runner?? Adorable!!

Nevermind the muck in the R-Com: the duck was super-sloppy when it got out and slimed the inside of the poor incubator. I have to take this thing apart and hose it down every hatch.

Now listen ..... Did you all see that picture Mary (The Warden) posted? Tell me, is she jerking my chain, or am I seeing things? I swear I see an "eye" in that picture. I would not put it past her to photo shop that in, and just try to get someone (like me)! It is driving me crazy! DO YOU SEE IT????

My only guess is that the temperature might be running low but reading higher. I am going to order the spotcheck before I try this again. I cannot keep up with this train wreck. Can someone tell me what the prize is for the cutest chick?

I am about to take the chicks out and will put them in the brooder and just curious about the prize. I think Halo's orangey chick is BEAUTIFUL and need a pic of her. He He! I am hopeful that it is a girl.

OMG I want that stuffed animal!! Where is it? I must have one! LOL.

Out of 15 eggs in lockdown, I am up to 10 chicks, two pips that appear alive (beaks poking around), one pip that could be dead, one with no pips and the one egg I was fairly sure was no good, also with no pips. Not bad I don't think. My 'hatch ratio' for this contest will still be poor since I started with 24 eggs (shipped, even), but for evaluating my bator performance I don't count non starters, only blood rings and quitters - so if the other two hatch I will have gotten 12/15 of the actual viable eggs.. or more.. we shall see!

Too bad I had to toss 9 clears.
