Okay, I finally got a shot of someone crowing that looks kindof like someone crowing...most just looked weird.

This is Orca, my Birchen Frizzled Banty Cochin, crow-flapping. He's got such LMS!!

Checked mine (yup finally broke down and opened the bator since I know it recovers quickly) just by picking them up and looking for pips. Nope not a thing. I am probably going to candle mine tonight if I haven't gotten a pip yet. Right there with you goochgirl. So hard to see all of the gorgeous chicks and duckies on here but soooo happy for everyone who is getting new babies! BTW mommawolf that duckling is adorable!

There's just too much going on in this thread to keep up with it all!

Or change your name to Kathy and keep pounding the keyboard and never look up or breathe again.

I don't know when this one will be over. It will be open for a while though .... waiting for chicks to hatch. Have to ask Mahonri when the deadline will be.

I think I would!!!

Should I cover the eggs in a warm wet washcloth just in case while I'm taking one out?

Cover the eggs in the Bator???? No, I never have... But I guess you could. Just make sure you wring it out real good. Warm and damp should be ok.. Wet would not be good. I just usually use a spray bottle with warm water and give a short and quick mist..

I don't know what is a good hygrometer but watching this thread has convinced me that they are really unreliable. Maybe there is a really good one out there. The Advance model reports humidity as well and as far as I know it it reading right. Hope the rest of your pips come out and are not sticky!
