Checked mine (yup finally broke down and opened the bator since I know it recovers quickly) just by picking them up and looking for pips. Nope not a thing. I am probably going to candle mine tonight if I haven't gotten a pip yet. Right there with you goochgirl. So hard to see all of the gorgeous chicks and duckies on here but soooo happy for everyone who is getting new babies! BTW mommawolf that duckling is adorable!

Perhaps we will win "cutest chick STILL IN the egg"

Actually, although funny, it is sad..

Really? Should we candle tonight?? I have a 4-year-old begging me to candle an egg, but I thought they shouldn't be opened until Day 25??

I gotta get out. Stuck inside with a very sick 2-year-old and nothing but egg watching to do

So the chick that hatched is still in the incubator, hopefully encouraging the others to hatch. I'm guessing it hatched around 5am and it is almost 5 pm here. Do you think I should leave him in there over night? I'm worried about the other 4 pips if I open the incubator. I usually wait until one hatches and pull the fluffy ones out, that way there is one to boost the humidity and to call out the others. Hopefully one hatches before I go to bed and then I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Even DH is getting antsy. He says he keeps hearing noises in the dining room (that is where I have the incubator) and keeps checking them. He really is a sweet guy.

Funny. Mine is not encouraging about this. Every once in a while, though, he will ask about them. He's trying to hide it, but he really cares.
