You're a lovely, young 45. You'll do fine, and it will be wonderful!! It goes much faster than you think. You'll have a gorgeous baby!

My second went by like whirlwind...because I had lots more to deal with.

Don't feel too bad.. I'm 36 and haven't had one at all.. I guess that makes me feel like I earn the nicely worded - "Chicken-Poo" award....

THANK you! I needed a chuckle!

I have been beating myself up, because I haven't dispatched my little one that was born with his stomach open and I am worried he is suffering. I just can't do it! His will to live is so strong and who am I to judge and deny that? EVERY time I reach in to do it, it stands up, moves around and drinks. I have not seen him eat yet, but I only see them for an hour or so each day. Just FYI, it hatched on its own.

Anybody else ever gone through this struggle? I HATE THIS, but it is probably teaching me a valuable life lesson!

You know at your age I would have thought that you would have figured out what causes babies!

I missed all this- how hard! I had one with an auxiliary vent from which it leaked poo, while the proper vent just pulsed. It was happy for a week and started to go downhill. I'm not sure if yours will be able to close, but you could wait until it is unmistakable. It's what I'd do.
