Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

That's correct. take a pic of the chick with BYC page on your computer with the time showing at the bottom...
Each in our own time zone

I'll have to look for a web page that is set to the 'atomic' clock and I suppose each of us could use that.

Hi! I wouldn't open the hatcher to take out a chick before the hatch is done, so I couldn't be in the running for that.

The atomic clock will come in handy so everyone can set at the same time.

Guess we'll have to have everyone on their honor... pic of the chick in the bator out of the shell, then pic of the correct time.

Maybe put a clock in the bator on lockdown day?

So, the plan for most of us is to put the eggs in at NOON (Local time) on Saturday, December 11th, 2010.
Here is the web clock we all need to use to syncronize our computers
Atomic Clock it's close to within 2 seconds AND you will probably have to change the time zone, but it's easy.

That said,

I just had a hatch last weekend which was my first hatch. I'd like to thank everyone on BYC for the helpful words of knowledge as it certainly is a great resource! I didn't think I would be able to participate as I wasn't going to be in town but my plans have changed and I will be able to set some silkie and brahma eggs on the 11th. Count me in...

Also, here is a pic of the only silkie that hatched out of 3 silkie eggs... too bad the little guy can't compete in the cutest new chick contest eh?

I will give this a go as well. been hatching since september anyway. My wellies are on strike right now, but do have black coppers covered by a really nice blue copper roo.been getting some really nice chicks out of this mating. Eggs have lighten just a bit, but did hacth some out of 8s last hatch. I will need some coaching as to how to get pics on here though. If my barnies lay again, will put se in. They are on strike as well. I did put 44 eggs in on sunday,so due the 18th,and have 10 or so in that will hatch on sunday. DD will graduate from college on the 17th and will have family and grandkids here, so needed to have chicks hatching on the 18th.
