Okay, Im starting to stuff boxes with eggs to send out on Monday. I had a bit of a panic attack; I had ordered Priority boxes 2 weeks ago, and they still arent here. I stopped by my little bitty P.O., and amazingly they had 4 Priority boxes for me. Whew!!! So tonight Ill set up boxes and start to put eggs in from today, tomorrow, and Sunday for those folks who needed eggs for the Great Hatch.

Its almost time!

Started collecting yesterday. Got one Ameraucana egg waiting. It's been sooooo hard not to go ahead and start now!

I guess I'm in this thing for good. I've contacted someone named Bargain to try and get some "neat" eggs to hatch along with my barnyard mutts.

I'll start collecting eggs this weekend. I won't be able to set at noon since I work but I'll do it when I get home around 5.

I found some eggs to hatch!
I called my sister in Tennessee to tell her about the big hatch and told her I was having trouble finding eggs. She told me she would send me some because all of her ladies are still laying.
Soooo...I'll be setting Silkies, Buff Chanteclers, Golden Campine, Gold Sebright, Bantam EE and Speckled Sussex!
I also had to find a "designated setter" because DH and I will be in Shawnee, OK at the big show that weekend.
So excited to finally have some eggs! The best part is they're free!

I am picking up a used bator today, and will give it a trial run for for a few days to make sure it is working properly. If all goes well I am in for the New Years Hatch and have my eye on a few Ameraucana and or pure breed assortment eggs on ebay.

Our test hatch is in lockdown and due to hatch on Dec 6th so that leaves a day or two to get the incubator clean and set to go for Dec 11th! Have collected 3 Partridge Bantam Cochins and 3 Blue Andalusian eggs so far-bator can hold 18 eggs currently(unless DH reconfigures so more can be added
