Okay Mahonri - I wasn't terribly specific about what I am setting and when.
If the hen stays broody - I will set (her own) eggs under her on the 11th. (6 silkies)
My incubator will be set late for the kindergarteners: 12+ pumpkin hulsey, 12+ black copper marans, and 12+ light sussex. (just for the joy of it as someone nicely said) - I don't actually understand what the prize is anyway.
Now I am just saying a little prayer that my eggs are shipped here on time and in good condition - I keep imagining frozen eggs. I had a hard time sleeping last night (my current eggs in incubator should start hatching tomorrow and I am worrying about those being shipped to me usps.) I had recurring dreams that I opened the box of eggs and was unwrapping them and some were smashed, some had cracked open from being frozen solid etc.
