Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Mahonri - Your going to be proud. I candled today. I removed 2 clear eggs...and the drum roll...one of them rolled off the counter so it kinda doesn't count. This is way better than before.

Well, while I'm awaiting my Polish to lay eggs and give me some tolbunt babies (quite likely not before new years' ) I've got my two Tolbunt boys away from the Polish girls so they can have a break; less stress.

And now, the Tolbunt boys are going nuts with their 60+ girls to choose from!

Already my smooth has favorites on a white EE, so I'm going to be hatching those eggs. .

Should get a 25% chance of crested Tolbunt colored Easter Eggers and 25% chance of Mottled Buff Easter Eggers. How exciting.

Candling results day 9.

Well the P.O. in NW Washington really know how to scramble eggs.

Out of the 41 eggs in the hovabotor, we removed 15.

So I have 26 in the hovabator and 27 in the brinsea. So that leaves me with 53. I'll be lucky to hatch 40.

We'll have to see how many are left at lockdown. I may be able to put all of them in the hovabator and just shut off the brinsea... but nah... I've had the Icelandics in there since the beggining... I'm leaving them there.

Still have 5 dark eggs from Illia

I REALLY want some BW Marans.
Still have 8 blue eggs from halo (none of the surprises developed

) Decent for shipped eggs.
Still have 8 dark eggs from Chookschicks. she sent 13 and I broke one taking it out of the foam so the PO did OK I suppose
The remaining 5 eggs are from my coop. One is a VERY blue tiny first egg from one of my wheatens!
