Just got back with a second incubator (for lockdown, since I have some other eggs that will need to incubate longer) and a bag of chick starter. Thinking positive.

At last candling, I saw kicks and wiggles, so that's a good sign.

Getting closer!

Linda, I might try to find an old picture of my (now deceased) old rooster Franco for the contest. White Silkie.

Mahonri- See? Brinsea's waaaay better.

Bluebird- How cute! Hopefully many more for ya.

Laree- What a great DH. That's what I'd look for in a wife- someone who understands (and supports!) chicken addiction.

Yes, the roof hinges up. I also have drop-ins to divide if I need to.

ETA: See the carabiner on the right? The whole front comes down too, if I need it.

I don't think mine will make it, after we had a freeze the incubator dropped in temp to 90 degrees and the humidity down to 35% and being busy cooking for the holiday I wasn't sure how long they had been that way. I checked on them just before bed as I do every night ...if they do make it i will be very surprised. I have already tossed out the clear ones there was 17 and 2 were not fertile.

Very cool Laree, especially the kid jail part!

It just gave me an idea for a trailer (the kind pulled behind lawn tractors) that hasn't been used in years. It's got wood bottom and 6 inches up the sides, so all it would need is a roof and a heat lamp.

Stiff competition on the crowing rooster contest! Great pics and gorgeous roosters! I have my picture, but I can't upload it until tomorrow when I go to my mom's. (still no workie here)
