I band them at hatch now, if there are others in the same hatcher that would look similar. Other people use mesh or wire to keep the eggs apart BEFORE they hatch. Good luck!

OK, I'm busted on that one. Dang it, I am still looking too! I have it narrowed down though .... yeah, gettin' closer now.

I just candled my 6. The 2 with the largest chicks in them (the ones closest to the lightbulb) didn't move at all, but have veins. One large one we saw movement; ever so slight. The 3 furthest from the bulb were much smaller than the other 3, with lots of veining and quite a bit of movement. My bet is on the one big chick hatching, and maybe the 3 smaller chicks being late hatchers. I'm going to turn for the last time tomorrow morning and add rubber shelf liner and some towels for water. I'm not setting up my brooder until I get a chick; I don't want to jinx myself by counting a chick before anything hatches. I already had to go to the feed store to get chick starter last week, as I knew It wouldn't happen this week. Its a very big trip for us!
