Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Step away from the incubator. It will be fine. Refrain from helping. I know it is very difficult.

So the second pip was fully hatched when the dogs needed out at 5 this morning and a third is pipped. It is so cute. Every time I look in, I see the little ones have moved to another spot in the egg crate and are napping again. They look up at my voice for a few seconds and then go back to their nap. I want so badly to get them out and put them in the brooder, but I will not kill the other babies by going in too early. I have learned that lesson from loss of humidity on my last batch of poor babies.

Ok, got to go look at the brooder again. Except am I feeling more symptoms of incubitus? I am not sure if I should go to work today...

I get good hatches with all. I have 2 of the red ones use them mostly for hatching very easy to clean there is no turner so I get personal with them.....I find shipped eggs sometimes take longer 6 to 12 hours I don't think yours are really considered late I have rocking eggs and 1 pip that I can see and I set mine at 6pm not noon I didn't want them to hatch before the 1st....Those Indian rivers just pop after the pip hole gets a little bigger last hatch I had one pip like I have now and it was the second one to hatch and my inside of the egg shell was very clean that I like. Patience it's much harder for me doing this group thing I too think nothing is going to hatch....I know they will I saw the feet when I was locking them down....
