Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Hi! Are y'all sure y'all set at noon on the 11th? I have some internal pipping (I can hear them), but that's it so far.

Oh, I tried the map-thing and got nowhere. I want to be *somewhere*, so can you put me on it? Anywhere you put me in Aiken Co., SC is fine. Thanks!

I think it's explained pretty well in post #1, BUT

After midnight, when YOUR first chick that hatches completely out of the shell, you take a pic on your computer of the Atomic clock set to your time zone, THEN take a pic of the wet chick that's out of the shell through a window in your bator.

of course it's an on your honor thing. With so many of our chicks hatching so early there won't be that many more that hatch after midnight... but I still have 18 in the bator with hope that one of them pips and hatches... just after midnight. Newest 2011 chick in their own time zone wins the prize.

I may have to use camcorder. DD has one camera with her and her friends, DH has the other on his hunting trip! I did get the desktop moved into the room with the bator

I sure did! I think some incubators must be running a little high.. I did get three pips around noon today, but no chicks out yet. My bator's been 99.6 for all 21 days (brinsea). All these early hatchers makes mine seem slow!

Take a pic of the chick after its out after post 5500, take a pic of the computer showing it's past 5500 and post them both. It's going to be a picture taking, posting frenzy soon!

I think I guessed that the post number after midnight would be 5111... we passed that long, long ago!!!

Hahahaha ..... I have a zipper now! MAYBE I will be close! watching now!

My hovabator was warm when I put the eggs in, so maybe that gave them a head start, and I have spot in our bathroom with vanity lights on it... when I close the doors, it warms up pretty good... so perhaps mine got a head start in there before I put them in the bator... That and I'm fairly certain that my hovabator was running high. I set the brinsea shortly after that, and so far I've hatched 3 of 21 with 2 pips in that bator.

I still have 3 in the hovabator that haven't hatched and I doubt that they will.
