Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

When I ran the math, I actually think most of mine will come tomorrow afternoon.

By my calculations, tomorrow noon will begin Day 21 --- Hatch Day!

Hi again all. It has been so fun watching for the past few days!!! Here is my submission for the crowing rooster contest. I had to put both pics on because they are father (Fiesty) and son (Spot). Fiesty was in my first incubator hatch in my classroom at school - he will be 3 in March and I put Spot's egg in the incubator a year later - he will be 2 in March. We have a total of 17 chickens, 2 of which were hatched by Fiesty's girl - the Little Red Hen - this past June. BTW - can anyone tell my what breed these guys are? Spot had a hard molt and has not grown all his feathers back out yet.

Fiesty (my big half blind sweetheart) He really is crowing; but, it's hard to tell with his head down.

Watching in anticipation of that first New Year's chickie baby!!!

Lisa

if you set of the 11th, tomorrow will be the end of day 21.

Nothing going on in my bator when I added water earlier. My sportsman was running cool. I found out the temp is different on the egg trays than it is where the thermometer goes into the incubator. I can't stand it, I gotta go peek again.

WOW, Hatching eggs seems fun. been follwing this thread since it was first posted, im thinking of getting a bator next year. hopefully this contest will be held next year again, that way ill enter
