My second pip is in a silkie egg that is black split to lav.....hope it makes it and hope it is a pullet! I have a lavender roo!

Took awhile to catch up there.

We must have a lot of peeps out celebrating. Sons #1, #3 & #4 are headed out with friends. #1 off to Mesa, #s3&4 to North Scottsdale. I told them they had to be in by 1AM...they said they'd be in before that.... they have a tradition of jumping in the pool on New Years Day... Polar Bear Club... they have NO IDEA how cold it's going to be tonight. I hope I don't loose any.... it got down to 29 degrees here this morning and we got up to 48 for a high.

No new hatches since the last update. I had to run to Costco to fill up the Pilot and then pick up some KFC for DD. She gave me her MP&G.

Total of 6 of the 18 in the Brinsea are pipped. There is a marans in there that looks like it's starting to zip.
Others pipped are an extremely blue ameraucana egg from my coop, 2 icelandics, an EE and the brown egg Halo surprise.

Perhaps one will make it out by midnight or by 5500.

I can't even find the link now to the guesses. Laree must be havin' fun.

We got rid of our sleeper couch and two chairs in the Family Room and gave them to Goodwill today.
Tomorrow we get a large sectional 8X12X8... it's what DW asked for, for Christmas.... we got it on sale after..... Before it was selling for over 2K we got it for LESS than half of that.

Have I bored you all to DEATH YET? just finding a way to pass the next 4 and a half hours....

Off to check the bator again.
Is Linda back yet.

Oh and Kathy I'm too stupid to make a BYC page for cutest chick... but I suppose with instructions I could try??

Much more movement from one of my little ducklings...but sadly I can see one has died..it pipped backwards in the egg and hasnt moved in over an hour..

4th egg still had to pip...The silkies that have hatched already are wandering around the brooder all fluffed up now.

Oh sorry! Had a duckling yesterday that pipped the wrong end and didn't make progress from there. The others had hatched so I helped it out (it was alive and crying). It was a very small (fully developed/yolk absorbed) duckling, but half the size of the others. Jumped right out of the shell and was bopping around, but died during the night.

But you have to try, right?
