just went to check on my little bantam and low and behold I have a very tiny pip. At this point I am just hoping for some baby chicks to survive. If not this will be my worst hatch yet. But I do have 28 eggs resting to start again lol

I took a 45 minute nap... and had a gazillion pages when I woke up to read.

And no more chick activity. 5 out, so far there are a few pips but everyone is quiet... for now. 3 babies chillin' in the brooder downstairs, still asleep. Just topped off their woodstove and my upstairs pellet stove is full.

I don't care too much about being up in 10 minutes for new years, so I'm going to go spend some more quality time with my heated mattress pad.
