Boys are home.

they've never seen a Turken before... it's now their favorite chicken cuz it looks so freaky to them.

24 degrees now in our back yard. I will actually have to get rid of the ice in the waterers tomorrow.

That little nap prior to midnight messed me up... that and a chick that hatched at 12:05AM! ... remember, Kathy saying you'd all never hear the end of it.....

Well, I didn't have anything hatching around the New Year mark, but I have 15 chicks so far. A couple I had to help and one doesn't look good. Pretty tired, so I may go to bed now, if I can pry my face off the 'bator! Happy New Year to all!

Little Ano Nuevo hatched at 235am. Still no pips in the others but before I went to take a 2 hour nap there was still movement in the rest.

I'm back . Long story , but my bator dropped to 86 before I drove to the nearest power source , the chick that pipped around 3 yesterday hatched , two more pips since . Still getting temps stabilized now that power is back on here . Later

None of my BLRW yet.

The cats are insane though, I tried locking them in the bedroom with me while I tried to get a few hours of sleep. They kept slamming themselves up against the door to get out so they could bator/chick watch. What a nice, restful sleep I had.
