Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

We started out with 38 eggs in the incubator and had 12 eggs hatch so that gives us a hatch rate of: 31.57894 % This is actually the most number of chicks we have hatched out a 1 time

Linda can you tell what color the TJ's chick is? Just so curious about what breed they might be using. So cool that it hatched. DH thinks it is pretty cool too

SGC that chick is soooo cute. I don't usually find NN's cute but that one just makes me want to get one. How the heck do you keep them warm enough up in Maine? My poor flock has been having a rough couple of days because we haven't broken freezing at all and they all have feathers on their necks.

I need to get the ones sitting on the eggs out to see how many pips I have and if they're zipping . These chicks went through a lot and are still hatching .

Still nothing from my 3 E.E. eggs that made it to day 18 out of the dozen I set. They were all kinda iffy, but they looked full and veiny, so I left them.

I just locked down 10 eggs for the January 5th hatch date. They were the eggs that were supposed to arrive in time for the 11th set date.

I have

1 FBCM (10 set)
1 Bantam Araucana (9 set)
8 E.E. x polish

I am considering changing my title to Hatching Impaired!
