Anyone had a 2-year-old with croup??? This poor little girl is suffering terribly. She's already on her second round of antibiotics for a new ear infection (probably from the croup, though she had one a few weeks earlier). She whines around the house, "Owwwwwww!!!!! 'at 'urts!!!!!" about all sorts of body parts. I know she feels really bad, but sometimes I can't tell if she's just tired or being two. My 4-year-old had croup once, but no where NEAR this bad. Poor little one!!!!

Because not all of my hens are NN about half the chicks will not have the NN. I only had 4 this hatch without the NN. I do have some turken hens and one lays a very distinct egg so I can guarantee little black NNs with her eggs! The cutest thing is my banty hen mated with my LF turken roo - and 2 eggs were viable. She's got hairy legs too, and both the chicks got that from her. One is NN one is not, otherwise they're the same. They however were part of my humidity cluster and aren't fluffed up nicely like the brahma is. <3

What was your final number hatched, Mahonri?

I have 33 chicks. 5 are still in the bator, 2 pipped, I'm confident the other 3 are still alive.

So if I get 38 chicks then one of two people win the How many will Mahonri hatch contest as they each guessed 43... and the one who was SPECIFIC and said W/BW Ameraucanas will be the winner. Hopefully we'll know by morning.

If the remaining five do not hatch or if only 3 hatch then the person that guessed I'd get 32 wins.
