Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Quote:
I've taken 4 out of the shell as they were shrink wrapped from a combination of a (lying) humidity gauge gone rogue and shipped eggs (my own eggs didnt shrink wrap this badly). I haven't been in the shower with this many chicks since... well... college probably. LOL.

Anyway, the 3 that have been out for a while now are doing great, the 3rd I might have to band aid the legs together but it's still early. That one was pipped and halfway zipped for over 24 hours. The one that I just forced out is screaming and kicking around in the bator. Another 30 minutes or so til it's fluffed and ready to go to the brooder.

Good luck and keep us posted on your Shelly's.

For Mahonri's Contest, all you need to enter is number of eggs set and number of eggs hatched. The other info is interesting and you can calculate all kinds of different percentages using those figures, but not necessary info for the purpose of the present contest.

Laree - just wanted to say, even though there are questions about your form/spreadsheet, which I'm sure is frustrating for you.......I think I can speak for everyone in saying you are doing a Most Excellent Job and we really appreciate it!!!

So, I decided to take the kids shopping and get out of the house for a while, and came home to two freshly hatched BLRW!

My other two eggs still aren't doing anything, but I'm not giving up yet.
