OK that nap was way too short but the grown up animals need their lovin too! Gotta get more coffee in me before I go out. So far the one that I helped is still doing OK. I thought it might not make it since it was just kinda laying there but it must have just needed a long nap. It is getting more coordinated and is still cheeping so keeping

Still have five more eggs in the bator not doing anything. Gonna leave the third chick in there for a while and hopefully it will be the cheer leader for the rest of them. My mutt is driving me crazy. She is just following us around wanting to get in to the dining room where I have the chicks.

I hope she chills out after a day or so. I did get a baby gate to keep her out and let us look in there.

I AM SUCH A FAILURE!

Out of 82 set I locked down with 57. Removed them from the cartones and discarded another 15, so 42.

I wish I had pips those eggs yesterday! I didn't.

I had two eggs rocking and one stopped and stopped peeping, so I pipped it, but when I shined the ligtht into it I knew it wasn't moving. I finished cracking it and it was dead. too much fluid.

I pipped the other rocker and spent hours helping it out. I finally went to sleep at like 6am and woke up a little after 12. No more chickes, temp dropped to 96 and the chick was still wet. Trying to dry him out now. I pipped the others and what wasn't just scrambled was dead. I lost 7(Wellies and BCMs).

I figured I'd better pip the ones in the other bator and most were just scrambled, one was ROTTEN! UGHHHHHHHHH

I found 5 more dead (shrink wrapped) one that had drowned? How does that happen in the same bator???????? Got to the last one and it was alive, but not much hope for that one.

So all these days, 2 bators and 1 BCM chick!

I can't believe how some of the eggs looked. The yolks were so mixed in that it looked like there was someting in them, but there was nothing, just scrambled yuck! I hate the PO!

My little BCM is still trying to find his legs after all this time. Gonna have to give him a really good name, cause I wanted more BCMs for me and he's all I ended up with, so boy or girl he stays.

I'm so disappointed and depressed you just don't know.

Just thought that I would post my results. I had 36 out of 39 hatch and are doing well. The 3 eggs left arent doing anything at all. I wll give them a couple of days to see. I do have one chick that looks like it has a bum leg. Any suggestions on what to do with that?
