For the Easter Hatch. They've limited that one for some reason.

When I hatched them I first went into the bathroom and turned the shower on hot water and let it get hot and steamy in there. I then did the deed either in the sink with the water running or in the shower. I took the shell off first in small pieces then the membrane and the chicks slid right out. I had a few with nasty navels, left it attached and put them back in the incubator. They detached it about a half hour later. Hope this helps.

Thank you.... I did have a warm damp cloth wrapped around it as I helped.. My bathroom will not get steamy. So, I have no options on that. I just held it in the cloth, near a heater. And I dribbled a little warm water on the membrane.. I got his head out enough that he can wiggle and breathe. I am going to give it another 45 minutes and help some more before I go to bed. Maybe he will have absorbed more blood and yolk by then.

I think he meant to be eligible for the hatch rate contest I dont think he means you have to set so many or else
