We are getting a record high tomorrow! That means I race around at 11am like an idiot taking blankets off horses, seeing all have extra water, setting up shade . . . . . spring is the hardest transition on the animals after a cold winter . . . and no shady trees to hide under yet like late spring. Ahhhhh, the fun of farm animals.
Yes, I know what you mean. Spring is such a fun time of year if you have horses that have been clipped. Put the blankets on in the morning, capture the horses midmorning and remove the blankets. Remove the "blanket" of mud in the evening so that you can put the stable blanket on in the stall at night. My horses are shedding like snowstorms right now so Spring must be arriving shortly. Today's high is 66 and I think I will skip blankets altogether
