They are absolutely stunning. My aunt would kill for those. I can't get over how stunning they are!!!!

Broody update: Blue legged hen- 1egg. dark hen- 7. Cream- 8. Cream is the only hen out of the 3 broodies that I really trust since she's hatch out many many chicks. The other 2 are first timers.

I'm off to feed the chicks so they'll quiet down, candle the eggs in the bator, and go to bed. Night all!

Well I nearly had a disaster tonight... I have 2 green eggs that I thought were clear but I wasn't quite sure so I left them in the bator. Tonight I was candleing one of them and about to the point that I thought I was going to throw it out. Not even 2 seconds later my nephew who "couldn't see the chicken" hit my arm while trying to get a better look and knocked it out of my hand... Splat... turns out I was right and it wasn't fertile lol. Kind of a stressful way to find out if I was right but I was, and I didn't have to actually "throw" it out and make the decision lol. My nephew (who is 2) thinks he killed the chicken though. What a night! I have 7 days left until my little fluffy butts will hatch.

Is it normal for eggs that were gathered the same day, and set the same day to look like one is developing faster then the other? Both still moving around etc... just one is a lot smaller then the other. Same size eggs.

Ok, ok. I'm going to bed right after I update again. Candled the 67 eggs and tossed 5. 3 blood rings and 2 clears. One of the clears had a messed up aircell that never did fix itself, so that's a problem I no longer have to deal with. 1 of the blood rings was a BA/RIR and all the rest were my neighbors (clears too). Ok then, night everyone! (for real this time.)
