Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Oh Laree! You have DUCKLES! How cute they are!

Someone got emu eggs... congrats! And they are HUGE!

I had a lovely run in with the USPS today over my eggs, had to pay a ransom for them.

And... it's snowing.

Thanks Ruth for taking the time to write the advice about letting the eggs sit longer. I will do that. :)

buckabucka- I might just do that! Thank you!

Boy what a wonderful weather we had today! Almost 80 degrees!!! I had felt roasted working outside. I cannot imagine what summer will be like! :th

Just thought you would like to know how much I appreciate your donation to the Back Yard Chickens website. I am participating in the Easter hatch, and thanks to recommendations from other BYCers just ordered a spot check thermometer from your website. Thanks again - Mary

And got this very nice note in return

Dear Mary,

Thank you for taking the time to write this kind note to us.
It is our pleasure to make a contribution to the Backyard Chickens community and encourage more chicken lovers to discover the joy of hatching their own chicks. Hope you have a good hatch and that you’ll like your spot check.

Don’t hesitate if we can help in any way.

Best regards,

Wouldn't it be awesome if they got like 218 of these "thank you letters"... next year, who knows what they'll donate?! oh, and I highly recommend the spot check... it has save hatches for me!
