Those are different chickens than I am familiar with (except the Serama) do you have pics of them? I would love to see what they look like.

Wow, those are beautiful chickens and chicks. Thank you for those pics.

So... I opened up the bator helped the stuck chick out and candled the other eggs. Here is what I found:

The chick I had to help out is just a little immature. It's bottom is still a little open and needs to dry out.

The one huge Marans egg didn't make it and looks like it hadn't develped for awhile

The two Buckeye eggs had chicks alive in them. I helped one out (it had pipped at the wrong end and I couldn't see) anyway as I got it out it was sad. It's insides were on the outside. So it is no more.

The last Buckeye was stuck and I don't know if it has more extensive issues because I have it resting before going further. It started to bleed. I will know more in a few hours.

Now I need ducks and I don't even have a pond! All you people are BAD, I'm tellin' 'ya BAD!

Ack!

One started to zip.. it's about half way around and humidity just went up to 79% on one 68% on the other.. (both in the same bator) Will they drown???? The opening for the turner wire is wide open so there is plenty of ventilation! Lots of O2 for them.

Wow, does everyone have two earlies like this.

I just wish they'll all pip, zip and get it over with already.

No sleep for me today or tonight and DW wants to go see a Movie....

Probably the best thing I can do, cuz I'm in LOCKDOWN

Mahonri, I really don't think that you have anything to worry about. My hatch of Dec. 10th began with about 65% humidity; however, on the third day when they began hatching the humidity was all over the chart, even as high as the high 80's at times. Go to the movies since there's nothing you can do for the hatch. A watched incubator never...

Well the first pip hasn't moved and it was the NOISY one and it's quit peeping. HOPEFULLY, it's just resting/sleeping.

The 2nd pip is zipping right along, just about half way. No pips on any of the other 45.

Unreal.

yup... I'm a mess. I could never have been an OB/Gyn

Our family room has become the place to be in the neighborhood... but they are all afraid that the other 45 are dead.

I keep reassuring them, but I'm just as worried.
