I'm hatching 17 bantams freezle eggs! I'm planning to send to my dad at least 12. Do anyone here mailed chickens by mail. I know I got to get a box ( not sure where) and use the one day service. Any advice?
Thanks,
Glenda

When the chicks hatch and let them have a few hours to get used to walking around, then you can ship them.

A few more things through. You want to put some bedding in the box. I prefer to use pine shavings, as you can get a large bag at Walmart for only $5. You also need to make sure there is no heatwave where the chicks are going to be. It can kill them fast (it's the summer, it happens a lot).

Hope they make it!

Thank you GimmeCake! I'm still debating on sending them. I just got to figure out this as I'm moving from Alabama to VA...3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 kids and probably 10 chickens ( depending whow many will hatch)! That's an adventure!!
