I found this on the Maine Fair guide page. If you click the yellow balloon once the page loads, enter the address that you are leaving from, it will give you directions to the fairgrounds.

Oh my...I just tried that map and entered Sidney and forgot to put ME. It gave me directions from Sydney Austrailia and at one point told me to kayak across the Ocean. Only 17,870K and 42 days and 19 hours later I would be at the fairgounds.

ok, here is what i have done, lol
i sent emails out to nh poultry fanciers, ne poultry and farm, maine chicken charmers, craigslist nh and me, uncle henrys, ne poultry congress, new england bantam club, which i am a member but wondering if they are still a group, and sent an email to goldenegg farm as she is well known threw the show groups, i let them know about the 2 sites and that we are gathering and if they are interested or can give me more leads. anyone know of any i have missed?>

this is what i got in reply to my email asking if their club would be interested in passing info on about the chickenstock or if they would be interested in coming, hoping to get some leads on good poultry groups in our area, who breeds what etc

Good luck with your chicken stocks.

One good way to resource is from the Exhibitors lists you can pick up at the poultry shows. They have address on them; so you could do a mailing.

i dont even know how to respond to this. i dont deal well with people, i guess what i am saying is do these poultry clubs not want new members? are they not interested in meeting other poultry enthusiasts? is it not all about the chickens for them? like it is me. lol wouldnt you think she would have told me when the next show was so i could get an exhibitors list?? something? i guess i expected more. disappointed is all.

Sad but I have found this to be true of many clubs, there must be some sort of separation between some individuals that show and people that tend to own critters just because they are good company.
