Does anyone know if it is legal here in Maine to kill foxes and fishers if they trying to get your flock ?

The predator page said it wasn't legal in Mass., but no one new if it was here.

call the warden office to find out they told my step son ye could shoot the fisher thats been killing his chickens if it was around the run and coop hes lost 4 chickens this week durring the day time he seen it one day but wasent sure so he called to find out if it was my chickens they was getting id shoot them and just not tell anyone but in my area nobody would notice a gun shot

I would probably check on the legalities if you have neighbors that may complain. However, I know MANY people that have shot them when they threaten their farm animals.. I'm pretty sure as long as you aren't 'in-town', it is just fine..

I would love to meet anyone from the list that day, is there a common denominator we could recognize each other by?? What if I brought some name tags and a marker pen to one of the tables and if you want to be identified as on the list you could write BYC or your screen name on the tag and wear it???? I am planning on arriving at 8 AM so I can grab what I want early.....
Hoping someone brings some Barred Rock hens.

So "Gimpy" survived being splay legged with curled toes. He is now crowing. Definitely a rooster. Mating with the hens and all. What do I do with him???? Why didn't I cull him as a chick? He wore ortho-booties made of pipe cleaners and everything!

Who wants my miracle rooster?

After all that work I don't want to kill him now. Please someone on here be a sucker for a weird bird and take my Gimpy Rooster!
