Maine

We are looking for EEs! Do you sex, by any chance? We can’t have roosters in my town.
I'm definitely not 100% certain on my sexing, especially since I rely on feather sexing(people say it doesn't work with most breeds, I've still had about a 75% accuracy rate). But I'd be willing to work something out if it became a problem. That post is a little off now since sadly my EEs haven't started laying again, so I probably won't have any until at least March, hopefully, the girls pick up soon. But there should be a multitude of mixed breeds popping out in next month's batch with a variety of characteristics.

Does anyone with a lab and chickens have tips for making it work?
We have a pitbull, a lab, and a bug. We haven't had any problems with them, but then again, our lab is a big baby who's scared of everything. We're careful about the pitbull because she's got a history with eating small things, but again, no issues with the full-grown, free-rangers.

I've officially decided that this year I'm on the lookout for BLRW chicks and/or hens, especially of the splash variety. If you have(/will have) some, know of someone with some or happen to see any anywhere, please let me know. Thank you in advance!

6 mixed breed, straight run 1.5-week old chicks available, I'm asking that you take them all for $30. pm me if you're interested and/or would like photos. We can meet up in the Bangor area or you can come to pick them up.

Hi everyone. I am new to Backyard Chickens but was wondering if anyone could recommend an avian vet in Maine? We recently had to take one of our ducks to the vet and could only find one that could see her the same day and honestly didn't have a good experience there. Seemed like he maybe doesn't see a lot of ducks in his practice, although the website made it sounds like they do. We are in the Belgrade area.
