I found a place in southern Maine selling Anconas, Al's Quackery. Has anyone had any experience with them?
Yes, she is great. I bought my ducks from her. Nice lady and nice ducks. I would buy from her again.

But it always seems that folks want what I don't have.....
How fussy are they at swaps about the chicks being six weeks to the day for individual sales? My current crop of anklebiters will be 5 weeks and 6 days at the Augusta swap..wondering if that's close enough for government work, or they'll still need to go in sixes?
Me!! I am in Poland and am looking for some bantams. Keep calling Tractor Supply but no bantams yet, when is your hatch due?
VioletBlueIvy, I don't like pickled eggs, but I have heard you can freeze them to use in baking later. I think you scramble them and put them in ziplock bags, but you'd have to do a search. You could feed some to the chickens, too!
My sick chicken is still alive. I hope to treat her tonight.

scramble them and put them in ice cube trays, once frozen pop them out and put them in a baggie in the freezer.
I had heard that you should put a little salt in if you plan on using them for meal prep after thawing, and a little sugar if using them for baking after thawing. Something about helping eggs to maintain a good consistency after being thawed. I'm not sure of the amounts.scramble them and put them in ice cube trays, once frozen pop them out and put them in a baggie in the freezer.
