SCG, have you seen the ad on TV, I think it's for insurance... the ads are so good, that I never can remember what they are for. The lady is in her jammies, and obviously doesn't have her glasses on, and she opens the patio door to call the kitty in, and this honking big raccoon waddles through the door? There was also the lady last year in the Bangor area who hit a bob cat, she stopped, and doing the neighborly thing, put the little kitty in her car to go find it's owner or take it to the vet. Unfortunately, the bob cat was only stunned, and she soon realized that it wasn't a little pussy cat in her car!... She was able to stop and let it out without getting harmed!
I'm so glad that your story also had a semi happy ending without injury to yourself. Next time, wear your glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so maybe my EE did lay 2 eggs, the first day-huh? I'd thought somehow I just missed one. But don't know how that could've happened either, since I'd been checking EVERY TIME I went out!I took some of those clipped wing feathers, some dental floss, a pipe cleaner, and some cotton ribbon... (Now, if I had some bubble gum to add to that list, you could call me MacGuyver) ... and made a neat cat toy. My cat goes ape over it and carries it all over the house. He even carries it to his food bowl when he goes for a snack.
Congrats Pellepeterson on getting back to work. And it's not unheard of for a pullet to lay 2 eggs in one day. My BSL on 2 occasions laid 3 eggs in one day. Unfortunately, the second 2 were shell-less. And considering that she often laid a dbl yolker, in one day, she passed 4 yolks! She took a while to settle into an egg a day routine.
have your friend send pictures. I want to see.

Don't tell me there aren't any cats in Somerville, ME. A buddies game camera...no wonder I haven't seen any deer out there in years.
