Maine

I have a golden Sea right, that needs a home. It was a "surprise" chicken in our last group of chicks. I would love to keep her/him but, I have larger birds, mostly, and am afraid it isn't going to be able to mix in due to size. My smalller birds are older, and I don't want more.bIt is free, and must go asap. I had success getting my roo re-homed here, and I am hoping to do.it again. I am in the northern area of Maine, and I can travel a bit. Reasonable distance. Please, reach out if interested.
I probably can't take any more chickens but wish I could, I used to have a little golden sebright who I loved. How old is it? I'm about to give some chicks away to a friend and she's going to be keeping bantams, loves the funny looking chicken breeds. I can ask her but she's not set up for adult chickens right now. I am in Southern Maine, portland area

It is about 3 weeks, give or take. I could meet, or maybe bring it down, as my son loves there in the area. I could visit him, too. Good excuse to see him. Lol.

If you find she does want to take this little one, please let me know. My Brahmas are already huge, compared to the little seabright. Just don't want it to be hurt. Hate to give it away because it is so pretty but, best for the chick, I think. Thanks for inquiring. At least I know it's visible. 🌞

I will, hoping I can take it because I have some bantams already and I'm giving my friend standards, so realizing it would be the only bantam in the flock. I have a little convincing to do to see if I can take it but I will let you know. I know someone else who I think has bantams and I will ask her as well. Do you have a picture? fingers crossed I can take it 🤞

This is him, or her. Sitting on the brooder heater. Lol. Just becoming fully feathered. As you can see, she is losing her baby down.

I'm in Patten I use an old camper, it's insulated but thin, I'm going to make a fly up entrance 10 of my birds taken or killed by fox (when they were free range) and the other five killer or taken by huge coon..FLY UP DOOR MADE INTO LUEVERED CAMPER WINDOWS, THEY LAND ON A TOP OPEN LUEVER AS A RAMP THEN THROUGH THE HOLE.. I'm going to extend another ft longer to provide adequate landing pad to enter the coupe made super strong made inside camper.. 2"x4" frame and stock fence and chicken wire.. Together..sux I found that massacre on my remaining 7 now I have 2 left and 4 new babies
IN MAINE? YUP..FLY UP is only way in...

Want to find a silkie Cockerel local to me in Patten maine.. keep buying straight runs (no silkies yet) hoping I land oa Cockerel in the runs but no luck as of yet.. Where can I find just a couple chix? I don't want a big flock again, had 12 down to 2 then added 4 new babies recently have room for 2 more.. That's it.. My limit..8

I will ask a couple people around here. We are in the Presque Isle area. We have 2 seabright cockerels we have to rehome, as well. I had one given away but, when I got to the place to drop him off, I put him right back in my truck. It was not a good place for animals, in my opinion. It was really a bad set up, and I couldnt leave him there. I will ask but, can't promise anything.
