Maine

We just put our silkies in the brooder coop in our back porch....the rain left a pond almost directly under their coop....and their coop has no windows so I felt bad leaving them in all day in the dark....so they now are inside~which the DH was against yesterday! Lol! We let our other chickens out for a while this morning but just put all back in....much to their dismay!! It is pouring out right now and the winds are starting to pick up...at least all the hens are safe and dry!

The chickens had a couple hours of running around this morning, but now they are locked in the run. Most of them don't like standing out in heavy rain anyway.

I am very surprised that Waterville just postponed the start of school due to this storm, - even though it hasn't really hit us yet! Originally, there were 2 days of teacher workshops starting tomorrow, with kids starting Wednesday. Instead of dropping a teacher workshop, they pushed everything (including first day for the kids) one day later in the week. It seems crazy to me, but not much I can do about it. I guess I'll have one more day to fully entertain those chickens!

It is just starting to blow good here in Monmouth, power flickering but so far so good. An afternoon for the movie Blazing Saddles, popcorn and Woodchuck Cider.

I can't believe we haven't lost power! We did have a big tree fall across our driveway, but DH dragged it away with his tractor. The chickens have gone to bed, after a long, boring day.

Well we lost a chicken

they picked on the baby because they were bored in their coop. Hubbys work is closed tommorow. And we are stuck in town. Multiple bridges and roads in all directions are gone...Hope we don't have an emergency and need to go to the hospital...

We didn't lose electricity at my house.

But elsewhere locally there were outages, trees down and some minor flooding toward town.

I was set on getting Ryan's OT appointment done today, but won't you know, they cancelled.

Would have loved to be at the Windsor Show, but fate just didn't make it possible

Ugh,, Electric poles down everywhere in Monmouth, had to work at the library today after fixing the electric fence, three trees on it...
We did not get soaked to badly just blown over, no other damage than to the fence which I am very thankful for.
I have no idea when we will be getting power restored but would love to see a CMP truck on my way home.
I may have to jump in Graces water tank for bath, LOL
