Maine

I still have to arrange the details, but I think I'm going to buy 6 more hens: 3 Ameraucanas, 1 Barnevelder, 1 Ancona, and 1 Golden Cuckoo Marans! I will house them in my hoop house during quarantine, which will hopefully work out.

Kinsey228 - this lady had Buckeyes, but she is way up in Lubec.

my neighbor got a buckeye from someone in central maine, said she had a good sized flock of them.but that's all I know.
the grainbag totes are easy to sew up especially if you got a look at how they are made. I had some dog food bags, they tend to be smelly, I dont think I'll be using those.

I can't even sew a button on (why oh why did they get rid of Home Ec in school?) so I'm jealous of all you making bags, smelly or not.

Lubec is a great place, take the time to go see their lighthouse before you get your chickens

My horse's grain comes in a bag with a palamino on it, I can't wait to make one from that.
I had fun at the meeting once introductions were done, I wish I could make the Dec meeting and bring a blue cochin girl to be evaluated.
I will be there in Jan I hope, and found someone to ride share with also.
Anyone know where I can find any info on color genetics in Muscovy Ducks, or anyone who shows Muscovies? That is what got me started in the first place, and I love watching my Muscovies.

Yes, I've seen that great lighthouse. If things go as planned, Jack will do the pick up, since he has more time, but it may have to be a weekend project for me, we'll see.
And at least you do make beautifully decorated eggs, even if you can't sew! I am making the feed bag totes, also, and while I can sew, I tend to make a sloppy mess of all my seams (in other words, my sewing looks really hand-made!).
My feed bags are all from chicken feed, and while turning one inside out for sewing, I found myself totally covered in thick dust.

I take the hose to mine before I sew and let them dry out in the tub.

I'm not sure who in the club can help you with your duck genetics but I use the online calculator for chickens- I know ducks would be different but maybe you can find one of those or at least someone that really knows their duck genetics. (although the guy I was sitting with barry roberts might be pretty good, he does call ducks)
