I guess i have caused quite a stir with this paint silkie egg auction that I posted here on byc. six pages of rants and ruckus. big sigh, I'm about ready to pull the auction and put those eggs along with the rest in the incubator.

What about the colors people decide they have invented - calico, kalidescope?

Can they quarantee breeding true?

I'm pretty upset by all the crap. I have people going up to bat and then there are those $##&!! what is with them? I'm putting my paint with my best stuff, it just happens not to black or white. I have both colors but they still need to grow up first. since silkie lay so reliably NOT I figured I better hatch now while I can because after March, that splash is not going to be in the breeding pen, she will be getting ready for show season again.

There are always people that need drama in their lives, if everyone ignores them they will find someone else they can stir up!

Hoppy will you need extra room for incubating and hatching? I have my incubator running now with room in it and will be running it until new years.

Might as well fill er up.

Unless of course all your silkies are still broody.

Wow. I only made it through a couple of pages before I gave up. Some people have way too much time on their hands. If they aren't interested in bidding then move on. As far as I'm concerned your birds are beautiful and would be great additions to any flock. If I didn't already have five Silkies wintering in the basement I wouldn't hesitate to hatch out some of your eggs.
Mine went out for a couple weeks at the end of the summer but when the tropical storm came through I brought them back in to keep dry. Since then things have just never dried out enough to make me feel safe in putting them back in the coop. The coop is fine but everything else is just mud, mud and more mud. My poor horses are just furry mud ponies right now. At least they do have a relatively dry area in the run-in.
