Maine

I didn't bring mine in (he needed to stay established in his group since I wanted him to stay the dominant roo and they were young), so I changed the bandage daily(sometimes twice a day) just putting more meds and clean gauze and vet wrap. Mine was minor and I was lucky he healed quick, but it wasn't cold out either....so yours should probably be kept somewhere warm.

We will do it if you need - but try TLC first, no cutting. After soaking try to lift the scab up with your (clean) fingernail. And remember, it will bleed a little. You might not get the scab up and off the first day, it may take 2-3 days of soaking and booties.

We had one so bad once the entire bottom of the foot was black with scab and the scab winded its way through the ball of the foot and up through the toes. It was awful. And she made it. Seems like my leghorns are especially prone to it.

i will try to get a picture on here later today so you can see it. then go from there. thanks.

I could offer you some strange mixes....I have a hedemora roo that breeds the english orp pullets(don't have a 100% english orp roo yet) because he free ranges with them....result would be interesting imo, i just dont need more mutts.
I might be able to give you some breda eggs, but I haven't confirmed fertility. EE's are easy. If you want pure it will be a few weeks. Lowes finally acknowledged they had our shed this whole time, when they were supposed to have it, but someone didn't know how to read the computer. We are trying to get them to deliver it(at their expense) now since we had to bring our borrowed trailer back

and the salesman had me wait 45 minutes since he wanted to confirm when it would be there with the warehouse and I was guaranteed 7 days, but give them 8 just in case(been 16 days now). They are telling us they don't have a truck they can bring it out on....umm, yeah right. I really like Lowes but lately the customer service has been terrible. We got a new black fridge, was scratched on the front, like we wouldn't notice. We special ordered some ceiling tiles, one box was ripped open up the side by a fork truck, they tried getting us to sign saying we received in good condition. We were supposed to have a new washer and dryer delivered 2 weeks ago. no show. called, they had it listed for pick up BUT knew we were having them install...go figure. Manager then told us it would be here the past two fridays but didn't tell anyone else and he called out sick both fridays. They are now supposed to deliver them tomorrow.

We told them we are remodeling the house and still need to buy a double oven, cooktop, cabinets and also putting an addition(10x18) on so will need those supplies too. WHY would we continue to give them our business??? It's not just them, I have had horrible customer service so many places I don't know how they stay in business. Putting blame on the consumer instead of acknowledging mistakes, it's the blame game that seems to go with the generation

. I just don't get the mentality of current management anywhere....I was pumping gas at BJ's for my mom, and I hardly go shopping with her. It was one of those super cold days and the gas pump failed to stop. They tried finding any reason for it to be my fault. Did I prop the pump lever? Did I try to overfill? NO! I was pumping gas and all of a sudden gas was spilling everywhere. I lost a pair of sneakers in the process and the manager told me she would give me new socks because I would have to throw them away but I could wash the sneakers!?!?!? really??? I had to have dh call because I was livid. I have very big feet(size 10) and they didn't have any sneakers that would fit me so she told me I could pick some slippers (again, seriously???) because the boots were too expensive to give me a pair. I ended up leaving with a pair of sneakers that were a half size too small because I was NOT leaving in slippers. What has happened to management??? Sorry for the tangent, let me know if you want mutts or if you want to wait....

It was me looking for JGs! i would love it if you could do that, just pm me the details and let me know what i owe you. Also, my husband bought me my first incubator today, so lets talk eggs too :)

Hey guys just wondering who is going to the swaps in Augusta on the 28th and Wilton on the 1st and what they are bringing! I am bringing:
Mini Rex Rabbits, Khaki Campbell Duck, Angora Rabbits, Cages, Tanks, Etc.

This would be my first one if I could make it..Where and what time is it? What does it involve? Do you bring things strictly to swap or sell as well?

I might be interested in trying to hatch out some of the hedemora/orp crosses. You are right it does sound like that would be an interesting mix. I have yet to fire up my incubator yet this year (probably because I wisely let someone borrow it for the past couple months to avoid the temptation

). But now that it is due to come back home I figure I might as well use it. After all I did buy it to use it and not have it sit around on the shelf.

And with only one EE hen I need to find hatching eggs from another source.

kfl- try hammond lumber, I've had better luck with them and when they deliver, it actually gets there. I don't know about installing as I had my own contractor do all that.
